Exhaust Duct Installation for Gas VMBs at UMC
Our team executed exhaust ductwork installation works for Gas Valve Manifold Boxes (VMBs) at UMC, supporting the safe exhaust of process gases in accordance with semiconductor facility requirements. The works involved the installation and alignment of exhaust ducting serving gas VMB systems, in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and site safety standards.
Installation activities included handling and positioning of duct sections, precise routing within designated service corridors, and secure connections to VMB exhaust outlets and associated exhaust headers. Particular attention was given to maintaining correct airflow direction, clearances, and interface points with existing exhaust systems.
The works were carried out in coordination with gas system contractors, main contractors, and other trades to ensure proper sequencing and minimal disruption to ongoing fab activities. All installation works were performed under strict safety controls, given the hazardous nature of gas exhaust systems.
Upon completion, the exhaust ductwork was installed in a neat and compliant manner and handed over ready for inspection, testing, and subsequent commissioning.
